Marketing: Publicity
Our waitress at the restaurant was pleasant and very attentive (and had a nice complexion, according to my wife). Come to find out that she was in the middle of a course correction in her career which would, hopefully, lead into becoming a pastry chef.
Her past two jobs afforded her the opportunity of watching two different public relations firms sink into oblivion because of our struggling economy.
Despite her rocky ride in the public relations field, she said that The Purple Cow by Seth Godin is THE book to read to obtain publicity.
